The Elvarra solar deck step light from Liriaz brings a clean linear profile to decking, stair treads, garden edges and patio borders. The slim plastic housing is offered in a warm brown or matte black finish, so the fixture reads as part of the structure by day and disappears into the timber or stone once the light comes on. Emitting colour can be matched to the space, with warm white and cool white options across both finishes, and packs of one, four, eight or twelve let you light a single step or run a whole deck in one order.
Each unit runs entirely on solar energy. An integrated panel charges a 1.2V NiMH cell through the day and the LED switches itself on at dusk, casting a soft, low-glare glow across the walking surface rather than into your eyes. There is no cabling, no transformer and no electricity cost, and the waterproof housing is built to sit outdoors year-round through rain, dew and summer heat. At just 0.05 kg (0.11 lb) per unit, these solar garden lights are light enough to handle one-handed while you position a run.
Installation is a deck-mount job you can do yourself with a screwdriver, with no electrician and no trenching required. Fix each light to the riser, post or step face, give the panel a full day of sun before first use, and wipe the panel with a soft damp cloth every few weeks so charging stays efficient. Best results come from a position that receives direct sun for most of the day. Space the units evenly along a stair run or deck edge for a consistent line of light, and choose a larger pack if you plan to extend the run later.
