The Yordane is an industrial pendant made from iron, with an open frame that shows its structure instead of hiding it. Three finishes are available: matte black, chrome and gold. All three share the same footprint, 18.11 inches wide and deep by 30.71 inches tall, and the same 11.24 pound weight, so you can switch finish late in a project without rethinking the ceiling fixing or the spacing over a table.
Bulbs are not included. The fixture takes a standard E12 candelabra base, which keeps replacements cheap and leaves colour temperature and filament shape up to you. Clear vintage bulbs suit the frame and throw a patterned shadow across the ceiling, while frosted bulbs soften it. The chain hanger measures 1.5 metres and adjusts, so the pendant can hang low over a bench or high enough to clear a walkway.
Cafes, kitchens, loft apartments and studios are the obvious homes for it, and the long adjustable chain also makes it a workable stair pendant. Chrome reads cooler against pale joinery, gold warmer against brick or timber. The fixture runs on 110V, mounts as a hanging pendant and is controlled from a wall switch. Indoor use only. Switch off the power at the wall and wipe the fixture with a dry cloth. Hardwired installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
